Today was such a great day for a session. Not to hot, not to cold and some great kids to work with. We met at Glendale for a fun session with cousins. Here are a few favorites from the afternoon.

This gal and her crew has history with me. It was a blast to see her again. Isn't is funny how you can pick up with a dear old friend like no time has past.

Her kiddos were too cute for words and up for almost anything.

I guess I have lost my funny because no matter what I tried I couldn't get this little guy to crack a smile.




But you must aggree that even without a smile this one is cheek pinching cute.

Yesterday I was asked by Forsyth Hospital to capture images from their annual "Walk to Remember".



This walk was for mothers that had experienced the loss of a baby. Each family was given a balloon and the chance to write a note and attach it to the balloon.







After a few mothers shared their stories the crowd was escorted on a walk around Lewisville town square.



As the balloons were released I thought of all the babies who I had spent time with this year. And how they had touched my life. Every time I leave the hospital or Hospice, I leave with such a profound feeling of gratefulness for having all that I have been given.




Each day we have is a miracle. Treat it as one.

Sunday afternoon I went out to take a few quick shots for a man and his dog. Turns out that this dog is really something special. I got a good lesson on hunting dogs from his owner.



This boy is a TREEING WALKER COONHOUND (I think). And these dogs will tree something and then their owners find them. It sound like this can get really technical with tracking devices and GPS signals. Any how, I didn't ask what happens to the critter that gets ran up the tree. I am going to sleep better tonight if I think they just let it go.

Fact Six: It is believed that the Irish began the tradition of Trick or Treating. In preparation for All Hallow's Eve, Irish townsfolk would visit neighbours and ask for contributions of food for a feast in the town.

Fact Seven: The record for the fastest pumpkin carver in the world is Jerry Ayers of Baltimore, Ohio. He carved a pumpkin in just 37 seconds!

Fact Eight: Vampires think Halloween is tacky and don't bother going out that night.

Fact Nine: The original Halloween film directed by John Carpenter in 1978 cost just $320,000 to make. It ended up making over $50m worldwide.

Fact Ten: People have believed for centuries that light keeps away ghosts and ghouls. Making a pumpkin lantern with a candle inside may keep you safe from all the spooky spirits flying around on Halloween.
