Real Life Photography, Lexington... Back to basics

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Hello blog friends. Today I want to share a secret with you. Now, this isn't something that all photographers will tell you, but I feel obligated to share this trade secret.

Ready?

Here it is....
You don't need an AUHHHMAZING camera to take amazing pictures.

I know, I bet you are shocked!

While bumming around town today, I snapped a few pictures with one of my older cameras. It was my very first digital camera, with the cheapest lens that I own on it.

I still love this camera and use it as a back-up to my back-up camera. It is a perfect little camera to keep in you car to capture those out of the blue moments. Which is why I was glad to have it when the picture taking bug got me today.

(I apologize for the chalky pale legs)

So to recap:

A not so great camera can still mean good shots. Just be creative, look for angles, seek out good lighting, and have fun.
